I really like how the trees almost look bluish here. It's an interesting effect that kind of makes this image seem even colder! I could just imagine being in this scene and freezing to death because of it's frigid conditions.

THEY DO. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY. MAYBE TO HAVE THE AIR MOVING SO WE DON'T GET BLOODY NOSES?? O.O THAT REMINDS ME, I had a bloody nose this week when I came home from school. ._. I hadn't had one in so long, I almost forgot what to do. XD
